Non Surgical Blepharoplasty – Eye Bag + Eye Lid Treatment

lifted results, minimal downtime

Complaints and concerns about the eye area are very common, especially as we age.  Eye bags and droopy eyelids can give the impression of tiredness and lack of vigor.  For many people these may be a genetic trait or age related concern that they wish to improve, but not if it means subjecting themselves to the risks, anaesthesia and downtime associated with surgery in this delicate area. Surgical treatments, especially those of the lower eyelid and eyebags can result in a change in eye shape, a key component of what makes us look like ourselves. One of the biggest concerns patients have around cosmetic procedures is coming out of a treatment not looking like themselves. Thankfully, advances in technology and techniques have made it possible to treat concerns in the eye area without the use of a scalpel.

Lasers such as Halo and radiofrequency tightening with Morpheus 8 allow remodelling, tightening and thickening of the thin skin of the eye area.  Dermal fillers can be used to replace volume in key areas such as the temple and cheeks which act as support structures for the eye, allowing for a more youthful look to the eye.  Injectable radiofrequency and contouring with Accutite can melt the fat pockets of herniated eyebags while tightening the tissues treated.  The most fabulous part of these non-surgical approaches is that the eye shape and character stays the same, so you look like you…. only more refreshed and rejuvenated.

The ideal candidates for non-surgical blepharoplasty are those men and women who have mild to moderate eye bags, hollowing or upper eyelid looseness.  Laxity of the upper eyelid that affects vision or is severe is still best addressed with an upper blepharoplasty surgery and we would encourage you to see an experienced surgeon.

Your initial consultation will assess what is causing the concern you may have.  Is the main issue crepey, loose skin or is it volume loss around the eye area allowing for the underlying bony structures to show hollowing?  Is the eye bag of concern due to fat herniation and can it be addressed with filler or will radiofrequency removal of the fat pad be needed?  In addition to these factors, your lifestyle, tolerance for downtime and medical history will be considered prior to making a recommendation.  Our expertise lies in not only delivering the best treatment technically but in creating a bespoke treatment plan involving combinations of minimally invasive techniques that truly make a significant difference.
